GCSE results day has been a cause for celebration at Tytherington School.

The class of 2026 returned to the Manchester Road school on Thursday morning, August 20, to collect their results.

Headteacher Manny Botwe says he is proud of the 'resilience and determination' his students have shown over the past five years.

He said: "A huge well done to the GCSE class of 2026!

"We are incredibly proud of what our students have achieved.

"These results reflect a great deal of hard work, grit and determination from our young people, alongside the tremendous support they have received from staff and families throughout their time at Tytherington.

"Following our excellent A-level results last week, it is wonderful to see our year 11 students celebrating their own successes today.

"We are delighted for them and excited to see what they go on to achieve next."
