Independent children's clothing store to close less than a year after opening

An family-run kids clothing store has announced its impending closure.
Lil's Children's Clothing at the Grosvenor Centre will close for good on Sunday, September 28.
The decision to shut comes less than a year after opening, having arrived on the scene last November.
A post on the business's Instagram page read: "It's been a tough decision to make but sadly it's not viable for me to stay open.
"I took a huge gamble opening the shop and it hasn't worked out but I have had such a fun year and met some wonderful people along the way, and to quote Winston Churchill 'he who is not courageous to take risks will accomplish nothing in life'."

A closing down sale is now underway, with customers able to enjoy up to 60% off almost everything at the store.
Several fellow independent businesses in Macclesfield have reacted to the announcement of the impending closure.
Loola Loves, on Chestergate, commented: "Creating Lil's was a massive achievement, you should be so proud of what you have bought to the town.
"Good luck with the closing sale!"
The Quiet Cat Bookshop, located next door to Lil's at the Grosvenor Centre, added: "Our lovely next door neighbour is closing down.
"It's a very, very strange time for independent shops right now.
"Use 'em or lose 'em folks."
