Investigations are underway following a further collapse on the B5470.

Cheshire East Council have provided an update following a small collapse on the bank along the B5470 near Reed Bridge in Kettleshulme.

This is part of the diversion route for the much larger collapse further south.

As such, it is being treated as 'a top priority'.

A council spokesperson said: "We're working to repair this section of the road in Kettleshulme as soon as possible and we're currently expecting to complete this by the end of July.

"The collapse has been caused by a failed drystone wall – investigations are ongoing.

"Thank you for your patience while we work to fix the collapse."

Two-way traffic lights are currently in place.

The council has said these signals will be manually controlled at peak times to ease delays.
