Local film premiere on successful business by Macclesfield Ukrainian pair
A Macclesfield creative will premiere his short film in the town next week.
Thomas Broadhead will screen his film STUNNER in Cinemac, on Roe Street, next Thursday.
The short film is about a successful vintage football shirt business, started by two Ukrainians who had to leave the country due to the ongoing war.
The screening will take place on Thursday July 25 at Cinemac Macclesfield, The Heritage Centre.
Doors 7pm, film starts at 7.15pm.
Tickets cost £6, and you can click the red link on this sentence to get yours.
There may be limited availability on the door.
The short film will be followed by Q&A with the director and cast.
STUNNER tells the story of Macclesfield residents Serge Shcherbyna and Polina Vynohradova, who operate the shop of the same name.
Filmmaker Thomas Broadhead told Macclesfield Nub News: "Thank you to everyone who comes down on Thursday."
"As much as the story is interesting, I think people will also be interested as it is a film set in Macclesfield, by a Macclesfield filmmaker."
You can learn more about STUNNER (the business, not the film) on their Instagram here.
Thomas is a film director from Macclesfield, producing films through his production company Different Gravy.
