A young rock band from Macclesfield have had their music listened to almost a million times in 2022.

Between Thorns, which already recorded half-a-million streams in 2021, have now eclipsed last year's streaming numbers.

That is according to Spotify, who shared their 2022 listening data with the band of five Macclesfield teenagers.

"We had 925,400 streams, which is over 400,000 more than last year. Thank you," said the band on Instagram.

209,700 people across the globe listened to their tracks, meaning many listened to their energetic punk-twinged songs more than once. In total, their songs were listened to for 31.8 hours across the globe, in over 155 countries.

The band will play Party in the Pews Festival in Macclesfield next year.
