A bar in Macclesfield has bucked the trend by lowering its prices.

Yes, you read that right – RedWillow on Park Green has slashed the price of its core keg beers.

Having reduced its production costs, the local brewery has passed these savings on to customers.

David Millard, bars operations manager for RedWillow Brewery, said: "We've managed to reduce costs behind the scenes without affecting quality and realised we can still run things sustainably while giving our customers better value.

"In the current climate, with times being tough for so many, we felt it was important to pass those savings on and make sure people can still enjoy a great pint without it putting too much strain on their pockets.

"It's about ensuring quality, community, and affordability go hand in hand."

Park Tavern, The Castle and Jack in the Box, located at Picturedrome, also make the cut.

Looking a little outside the town centre, the Wincle Brewery Shop is one of the smallest taprooms included in the guide.

Giles Meadowcroft, founder of the brewery, said: "We're absolutely delighted that Wincle Beer Company has been featured in the brand-new Good Beer Guide 2026!

"If you haven't tried our ales yet – now's the time to!"
