A kitty cat currently living in Bollington is seeking a fur-ever home.

Gorgeous Domestic shorthair Luna requires rehoming.

The mouser came in to care of RSPCA Macclesfield 43 days ago, and is currently being fostered in Bollington.

The cat - which celebrates their birthday this November - could be in a new home in for their fourth birthday.

According to RSPCA Macclesfield: "Luna was left at a property when the owner moved out. She was brought to Birmingham Animal Centre by a member of the public."

"We weren't able to trace the owner to speak to and no one came forward for her.

"Luna was kept in an emergency private boarding establishment for 56 days waiting for a rehoming branch, such as ours, to have the space to take her in."

Having travelled 75 miles to be at her current foster home, RSPCA Macclesfield are wondering whether any Maxonians or other nearby residents would like to take her in.

The loving Bollington foster mum had this to say about Luna: "Luna is one of the friendliest cats I have ever met," she said.

"Luna loves to sit on my knee and loves to play. She is okay with visitors and older children but when she's had enough, she is happy to walk away.

"She doesn't like sudden noises and gets quite nervous sometimes.

"Luna was abandoned in an empty house and there is a lack of history about her and her upbringing. She has a slight deformity of her back legs. Although she can still jump, you won't find her too high up in places like the curtains or on top of the wardrobes. She likes love and attention but will always give more back.

"Luna is so adorable she goes to anyone who visits. She would be happiest in a home where there's mostly someone around so she can curl up on their knee for a cuddle."

As well as the slight deformity, the browny-white kitty suffers from a minor grade 2 (out of 6) heart murmur.

Luna was already neutered and microchipped. She recently become fully vaccinated as well. A pet free home is preferred.

If you are interested in adopting this currently Bollington-based cat, please email RSPCA Macclesfield via [email protected].
