A local pre-school is celebrating after a recent OFSTED inspection.

Allsorts Pre-School in Bollington are joyous after the results of last month's OFSTED visit has been revealed.

The Grimshaw Lane early years education centre scored 'Outstanding', in all five categories, with an overall average of 'Outstanding'.

This was an improvement from last time out, when they were graded as 'Good'.

A rousing quote from the report states: "Staff unfailingly implement their clear intention to give children the skills, resources and motivation to follow their own ideas."

"[sic] Staff's trust in children to organise their own time in a resource-rich environment, promotes powerful learning.

"The children's whole-body engagement and self-motivation is impressive. They know what they want to achieve and show a purposeful determination to succeed."

Praise was heaped on their social media page, which helps engage parents and help extend their pupil's learning at home.

Kathryn Cox, Pre-school Supervisor at All Sorts Pre-School, had this to say on behalf of the school.

"We are delighted, humbled and very proud of all the children," she said.

"One of the many positive findings that the inspector reported was that 'the team conveys an unmistakable quest for excellence that has the progress and wellbeing of the children at its heart'.

"Thank you all."
