A Macclesfield cartoonist has kicked-off an interview series with some of the world's best comic artists.
Six years ago Maxonian creative Marc Jackson launched the event Macc-Pow, which this year be a virtual get-together of talent, hosted from our town.
He will interview over 10 comic artists, twice-a-week, until July 2. Macc-Pow @ Home will be broadcast on his YouTube Channel.
Perhaps the next best thing to going to Comic-Con, this pandemic-proof event will be candid livestreams with Marc and a series of industry-leading comic artists.
Both male and female comic artists will be interviewed, with an illustrious portfolio of media behind them.
The first interview online now was with British colourist Jim Boswell who works for 2000AD and the Judge Dredd Magazine.
Second up is American Tom Scioli, who has been a writer and artist for Marvel Comics and IDW working with franchises such as Fantastic Four, Transformers Vs. G.I.Joe, and GO-BOTS amongst many of his own creator-owned work.
Upcoming chats include veteran English artist Lew Stringer, who has produced content for Marvel, The Beano, and his own intellectual property.
Another exciting talk will be with Catalan artist Genie Espinosa, who sketches for the comic Hoops, a title which has a wheelchair user as a main character, and also draws album covers for indie bands.
Other fascinating fireside chats will be with award-winning cartoonist Steenz, a female black cartoonist who's work is published in newspapers across the USA. She also works as an educator in comics.
If you've ever wanted to know what goes behind the scenes in drawing the Fantastic Four, or just what a career in comic art could be like, why not check out Marc's series?
Macc-man Marc Jackson, who has just under 2,000 followers on Instagram @marcmakescomics, is launching the event in association with Macclesfield Town Council.
