A drug dealer who sold heroin and other illegal substances in Macclesfield has been jailed.
Angela Kenyon, 39, of Mill Street, Macclesfield, was sentenced to three years and four months at Chester Crown Court on Friday 9 September after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, heroin, and cannabis.
The charges relate to an incident that occurred on 15 July 2021 when Kenyon was spotted acting suspiciously by officers and interacting with local drug users.
She was arrested at the scene and later that day officers attended an address on Knutsford Walk, Macclesfield, where Kenyon stated that she had been staying.
A search was conducted at the property and a large quantity of cash, crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis were recovered by officers.
Kenyon's phone was seized and when it was examined it was found to contain further evidence of her involvement with the supply of class A and B drugs.
She was subsequently charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (crack cocaine, heroin), being concerned in the supply of class B drugs (cannabis), possession of a class A (amphetamine), possession with intent to supply class A drugs (crack cocaine, heroin) and possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis).
She pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, heroin, and cannabis.
PC Sam Needham said: "This is a great result which stopped a large quantity of drugs from finding their way onto our streets and sees another drug dealer brought to justice.
"I hope this sentence demonstrates that we will not stop in pursuing those who bring illegal drugs into Macclesfield.
"I'd like to thank those that helped bring this case together, a real team effort has helped make the area an even safer place to live and visit.
"We will continue with our work in making our town a hostile environment for people like Kenyon, but I would urge that the public help us too – any information we receive is vital in our fight against drugs."
