Macclesfield Town Council are proud to announce the line up for this year's Eco Summit.

The annual event will take place on Saturday October 8 on Market Place.

"We're delighted the event is back once more," said Macclesfield Town Council in a statement.

"We have 4 interesting and relevant topics for you, followed by a chance to ask questions, network with other like minded individuals and put forward your thoughts about potential topics/projects for 2023.

  • The team at Macctastic will be talking all things 'retrofit' including why it is important, covering a Macclesfield case study, and discussing future opportunities
  • Macc Wild Network will be talking us through their activities during their first year, with a focus on lessons learned, what their plans are for the future and how people can get involved
  • Keele University's Security in Place team will be presenting a look back on paper that was written 25 years ago and asking "Macclesfield 25 years on - What makes us worried?" with a focus on car ownership and transport
  • and finally we have Paul from Macclesfield Tree Nursery who is going to talk us through what they have achieved and where they are going next.

The three hour event will be in St Michaels Church next to the Town Hall, and will start at 9am.

The event will finish at 12pm and the cafe at St Michaels will be open afterwards for lunch/refreshments.

The event is free, but booking is required on the email above.
