Macclesfield firm saves 170 people from unemployment as they acquire new firm

An Adlington firm have acquired a new company.

Macclesfield lorry haulage firm Kinaxia Logistics have acquired Belper-based Nelson Distribution, this was following the adminisration of Nelson's former owners KNP Logistics.

The deal also sees Kinaxia acquiring 117 vehicles, their premises and clientele. All staff are currently reported to be transferring over to Macc, with the Derbyshire town only being located 39 miles away from Macclesfield.

The Macclesfield employer already employs 1600 people across the globe, adding a further 170 with this acquisition.

Their current fleet pre-aquisition was the 850, which now means the firm is just shy of 1000 vehicles, at 967.

They distribute for the food, retail and leisure sectors.
