A hairdresser in Macclesfield has recently relocated within the area.

Hair by Felix, a luxury hairdresser that focusses on hair extensions, has moved just down the road from their previous location.

The business is a collaboration between Felix Jesus Marrero Morales and Kevin Cedres Todd.

They have relocated from Churchill Way, to the more residential area of 20 Longacre Street, Macclesfield.

Macclesfield Nub News met up with Front of House Manager, Kevin Cedres Todd for a chat about the new site.

"We wanted a quieter area," Kevin explains.

"The noise, the traffic, the hustle, it's not really what your clients want."

The nearest carpark is the Whalley Hayes Carpark, which is a two minute walk away. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News / Alexander Greensmith)

"[The move] is a way of finding that calm that the salon does provide.

"When you come, you relax, you have a massage and a backwash."

Hair by Felix offers a range of services which can be found here: https://www.hairbyfelix.com/services.

"We do anything from cuts, colours, extensions, hair-ups, weddings," Kevin lists off.

"We are quite varied and open."

The hairdresser doesn't just offer high quality services, they also serve champagne to clients, sell premium hair products and even their own branded hairbrushes.

"If you have problems with your scalp or very thick hair, most brushes do dry that scalp and that's something we wanted to avoid," explains Kevin.

"So we've gone for very soft bristles."

Don't let the champagne and PR shoots scare you, it's clear that Hair by Felix really cares for their clients.

"Felix is extremely passionate about his job," says Kevin.

"He'll spend whatever time in the consultation stage to make sure that he can provide what the client wants, in a way that doesn't damage the hair."

The salon has just 3 staff, which means customers can see the same stylist every time, and build a relationship with them, which in turn creates a loyal clientbase.

"[The clients] They've been absolutely amazing," Kevin added.

"We wouldn't be where we are without any one of them, especially those that followed us all the way from London. [Where they were before they opened in Macclesfield.]"

The new location has also led to thoughts of further expanding the business.

"We're looking at not only more apprentices," Kevin reveals, "But fully qualified staff as well."
