They already look after loved ones, and now a Macclesfield carehome is looking after the environment.
Harry Lawson Court, of Crewe Avenue in Hurdsfield, is hoping to switch to sustainable heating.
That is according to an undecided Cheshire East planning application that has just been registered.
The site, ran by Peaks and Plains Housing Trust, wants to switch electric boilers to heat pumps.
59 electric boilers would be replaced with new air source heat pump units, if approved by the Council.
Heat pumps use only about a third as much electricity as baseboard electric heaters, they still pump out CO2, but much less than conventional heaters.
