It looks like a long-vacant unit on Sunderland Street is about to get filled.

Buxton Brewery are advertising on Facebook for jobs at a new bar.

The listing mentions 'The Treacle Tap', the bar of 43 Sunderland Street which shut in August 2022.

It looks like the independent, real ale vibes will continue as Buxton Brewery prepare to move in.

They are hiring in both management and junior roles for the new bar.

No precise opening date has been specified as of yet, other than 'early November'.

It is a great time of celebration for the High Peak brewers, as along with their new Macclesfield venue, the ale experts will celebrate their 15th anniversary next year.

Buxton Brewery have been contacted for comment.

The job listing.
