Today, we profile a Retail Supervisor - Customer Team Leader role at a Macclesfield Co-op store.

This leading role offers 30 hours a week, and at £10.45 an hour, working at the West Park Drive Co-op.

"When you join Co-op as a Team Leader, you'll help shape the future of a business that's truly different," said the Co-op.

"We're passionate about putting our ethical values into practice, and with your direction your team will be there for the community to do amazing things that will help support local good causes!

"You'll be a positive role model – engaging, training and supporting your team in completing store activities."

Additionally, there are also Retail Supervisor responsibilities that come with this vacancy.

This includes performing daily store checks for safety, security and presentability, along with taking charge if there are problems to resolve.

The successful candidate will also encourage their team to deliver the stores success measures, and be confident in suggesting areas for improvement.

You'll also be responsible for opening and closing the store, and champion Co-op values by promoting our membership and benefits

Motivating the team on shift, and encouraging the team to participate in local projects the West Park Drive store supports are also crucial.

You'll take ownership and direct the team, knowing when to step in and help your colleagues on the shop floor.

"We're also looking for good communication skills, great organisational skills and problem solving skills."

The ability to exceed customer expectations and build relationships with people from all walks of life is also required, along with desires to drive ideas to help improve store sales

A flexibility to work a range of shifts is also wanted, as regular overtime is expected.

In addition to being offered the Real Living Wage, premium pay rates are offered for hours worked before 6am, or after 10pm. A 20% discount on Co-op branded products are among the amazing out-of-job benefits.

Anyone over age 18 is welcome to apply - but be quick - the last date you can apply is August 19 - which is this Thursday.
