Macclesfield Job of the Week: Special Needs Teaching Assistant at Fallibroome Academy

A permanent job vacancy has opened at the The Fallibroome Academy.

Could you spare a few hours a week to be their next Special Needs Teaching Assistant?

It pays £10.21 - £11.27 per hour, and is our featured Job of the Week.

This vacancy at the Priory Lane secondary school and sixth form, was just posted on Friday, and you have three weeks to apply.

They want a confident and capable Special Needs Assistant, and you don't have to have kids at the Macclesfield school to apply.

They are accepting applications from people who can work work want full-time or part-time. You'll be required to work during the school's term time only, plus just one inset day.

Even more casual hours are also available.

The Fallibroome Academy said: "We require Specific Needs Teaching Assistants to join our team of TAs who provide direct support for pupils with physical and emotional needs, both in the classroom and in the wider context of the school.

"You should have experience of working with pupils with a range of learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities.

"Applicants must possess excellent, clear and influential communications skills and have high levels of competency in Mathematics, English and ICT."

"Working during term-time only, routine working hours will be Monday to Friday, 61â„2 hours per day from 8.30 a.m. until 3.30 p.m. with a half hour unpaid lunch-break. A part-time or casual position is also available.

"The successful applicant will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to their working pattern.

"As well as the technical and practical skills required to carry out the work outlined in the job description, flexibility, the ability to work well under pressure and under one's own initiative and a commitment to high standards in personal work are essential for these positions.

"Applicants must be good team players, able to relate to a wide variety of people in a complex organisation and have the ability to respond promptly to teachers working under pressure of time."

Punctuality, friendliness, and the ability to take training is also desired.

The closing date for the application is January 4 2022, at 12pm.

You don't have to apply before Christmas, but The Falibroome Academy reserve the right to close applications ahead of the deadline.
