A Macclesfield laundry and ironing business which shut a year ago this month has had a successful change of use planning application.

Wash and Press Laundry and Ironing of 52B High Street, was just one of a few businesses aside takeaways and a Co-op Funeralcare site, on the residential road of High Street.

The building will now be of private use for the residents of 52A, and likely never again as a public launderette.

The approval was granted for the former business to become ancillary storage space by a Cheshire East Council planning officer on Monday.
