Macclesfield man charged after alleged Crompton Road car crime

Officers from Macclesfield South Beat Team have charged a man in connection with a vehicle interference offence.

Stuart Preston, 40, of Mill Lane, was arrested and subsequently charged with attempt theft from a motor vehicle.

He has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on 13 February.

The charges follow an incident of vehicle interference on Sunday 22 January on Crompton Road.

The type of motor involved has not been specified by Macclesfield Police.
