Wreath-making workshops are a popular tradition in the run-up to Christmas.

However, many are quite expensive and make a significant dent into your budget for presents.

But you'll be pleased to know that not only is there a wreath making workshop coming to Macclesfield for less than £20, but it is also raising money for charity.

With botanicals from Grow Macclesfield's community allotment on South Park, you will receive expert guidance on how to make a memorable wreath that will steal the show this Christmas.

The event will raise money for Macclesfield Mayor Fiona Wilson's two charities. They are Macclesfield Youth Brass Band and North West Air Ambulance Charity.

Macclesfield Town Council said in a statement: "What is nicer than having a homemade wreath on your door to welcome in the Christmas season?"

"The Mayor of #Macclesfield is proud to present a wreath making workshop hosted by Grow Macclesfield To book please email [email protected].

"The event will take place on Tuesday 22 November from 7pm to 9pm. Tickets are £15."

The event will take place at All Saints Parish Church 2 St Andrew's Rd, Macclesfield SK11 8HA.

The money raised will be presented to the charities at the end of Mayor Cllr Fiona Wilson's tenure in May 2023.

The Mayor can be followed on Facebook.

If you want the Mayor to appear at your Macclesfield business or event, please email [email protected].
