Macclesfield: Pair of drug arrests on residential street in Upton Priory

Upton Priory residents may have received a rude awakening this morning, as a police raid happened not long after sunrise.

Two adults were arrested on property at Eglais Way, as confirmed by Macclesfield Police in a statement.

"At around 5am on Friday 22 July police executed two warrants at addresses on Eglais Way in Macclesfield," they said.

"Two men, aged 29 and 48, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A and class B drugs and taken into custody.

"The 29-year-old has since been released under investigation."

Both men were unnamed.
