A Macclesfield pizza chain is to reopen, following closure at the start of the year.

Papa Johns, of Park Green, shut their doors in mid-January 2024, as reported by Macclesfield Nub News.

This was due too the previous regime not meeting the quality and service expectations the US pizza chain hopes to offer.

But now, new management has been sorted and their new Macclesfield store is almost ready to reopen.

The store is set to reopen next month. A precise June reopening date for Macclesfield is to be confirmed, but seemingly imminent.

Stores in Stoke and Crewe, which had shut at the same as Macc and have also found new franchise partners, recently reopened too.

In fact, the same franchise owner in Crewe, will also be running Papa Johns in Macclesfield.

A Papa Johns spokesperson said: "Papa Johns today announces the reopening of 10 of its beloved stores across the UK, set to create 100 new jobs."

"We are delighted to announce the reopening of these Papa Johns stores, which will not only mean that people can get their favourite pizza again, but also create new job opportunities.

"Macclesfield is set to open in early-to-mid June. Owner Ravi Singh is new to the Papa Johns family and is taking over Crewe and Macclesfield.

"Ravi has a wealth of experience, working at Domino's and Tim Hortons for 17 years.

"Ravi entered the industry as a store manager and worked his up to regional operations director and is now our newest Franchise Owner. His career journey instils confidence that he'll be an exceptional operator and foster a really great culture for our team members (something he is very passionate about)."

Papa Johns claim the rejuvenated Macclesfield store is set to create 20 new jobs.

Papa Johns are currently hiring in Macclesfield, to prepare for their June reopening.

Roles include a delivery driver from £11.44 per hour, to a team member for the same wage. The shift supervisor role pays £11.75 per hour.
