Macclesfield Police appeal after Broken Cross man goes missing
Police are appealing for information from the public to help find a missing man from Macclesfield.
Stephen Richards was last seen at around 12 noon today, Tuesday 23 August, heading towards Macclesfield town centre on foot.
The 47-year-old is described as white, around 5' 11" tall, with short brown hair and a beard.
He was last seen wearing a turquoise t-shirt, blue jeans, a grey walking coat and black Nike trainers.
Stephen lives in the Broken Cross area of Macclesfield, and he has a number of links across the town.
Officers are urging anyone who sees Stephen or has any information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.
Constable David O'Connor said: "We have been conducting a number of enquiries to trace Stephen, so far to no avail, and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
"This is totally out of character, and we are keen to locate him as soon as possible.
"I urge anyone who think that they may have seen Stephen since he went missing, or knows where he is, to get in touch.
"The same goes for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of him since he disappeared.
"I would also like to appeal directly to Stephen, to ask him to get in touch. Your family are really worried about you and they want you home safe and well."
Anyone with information or footage that may help officers find Stephen is asked to call Cheshire Constabulary immediately on 101, quoting IML 1349375.
