A Macclesfield schoolgirl's long locks will be cut off for a good cause.
Norah Connolly will get a hair cut, to hopefully raise £1000 for a national charity.
Norah's challenge will raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
Norah (8) has already fundraised an incredible £150, and ten people have pledged funds thus far.
Proud mum Hope Connolly spoke with Macclesfield Nub News.
"Norah has been growing her hair for the past two years with the intention of donating it to help young lives in need," said Hope.
"In August 2022, her mum had her whole head shaved for Alopecia UK, and Norah expressed her desire to do the same.
"Although initially hesitant due to her young age, I agreed that if she continued growing her hair and still wanted it done, she could have it cut into a short bob.
"The time has come, and Norah is excited to donate her hair for charity while also hoping to raise funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
"The hair cut event will take place on August 26 at our local pub, The Puss in Boots pub at 12:30pm.
"Norah will be having her hair styled by a local hairdresser.
"Your support through donations or by checking out the fundraising page link is greatly appreciated.
"Together, let's make a difference in the lives of young people in need. Thank you."

Great Ormond Street Charity was contacted for comment.
Marina Barnes, Head of Community Fundraising at GOSH Charity, said: "We want to say a massive thank you to Norah for cutting her hair to raise money for GOSH Charity."
"It's amazing to have such a young person choosing to fundraise, with the money raised helping to make a difference to seriously ill children from across the UK.
"Thanks for being a part of Team GOSH, Norah. We hope you love your new look!"
