Vintage and rare pressings of Joy Division and New Order albums will go up for sale next week.

Merseyside-based auctioneers Omega Auctions will be auctioning off multiple LPs from the Macclesfield-associated bands.

And one item has already attracted bids.

A clear vinyl test pressing of their May 1978 scrapped attempt at a debut album called Warsaw, is up for sale.

The transparent vinyl was produced in 1981, the year after Ian Curtis' death ended the band.

Warsaw would have early versions of many tracks that would appear on Joy Division's actual debut album Unknown Pleasures, like Shadowplay and Transmission, but also tracks that did not, like All Of This For You and They Walked In Line.

The item has minor staining, and also comes with a 7" single.

The latest highest bid is £120. Click here to place a bid.

Another listing, of 12" and 7" test pressings for the single Atmosphere, could fetch between £150 and £200. (Link to bid here)

A test pressing of Substance, by Joy Division, could also fetch between £100 and £150. (Link to bid HERE)

And a test pressing from Joy Division's phoenix band New Order will also attempt to be sold.

Test pressings of 'True Faith', '1963', 'Touched By The Hand of God' and 'Peel Sessions' (refering to Radio DJ John Peel), are sought to be sold as a pack of four.

The estimates on these 12" and 7" New Order test pressings are £100 - £150. (Link to bid HERE)

The final JD/NO related listing is more banal, being Factory Records stock originals of the two officially released Joy Division albums. The pack, containing originals of Unknown Pleasures and Closer, is estimated to sell between £100 and £150. (Link)

All items will go to auction on Tuesday October 7, browse the full catalogue HERE.

Joy Division had two members from Macclesfield, being frontman Ian Curtis (who has two murals in the town), and drummer Stephen Morris.

New Order, still an active band to this day, has four residents from Macclesfield.
