Macclesfield Town App founders expanding across the country

By James Kelly 28th Sep 2020

Two Macclesfield businessmen are taking their 'Town Apps' to the nation after their first local successful launches.

UK Town Apps very first App was launched for Macclesfield in November 2019 by Fabio Mazzieri and Steve Morton.

Due to the success of the Macclesfield Town App they are on target to have 10 active Apps by the end of this year.

On the back of these further launched Apps, town councils throughout the UK are now approaching them to look at using the Apps for their towns and helping boost the local economy. They already have 4 towns confirmed who are based in the South.

UK Town Apps produce free to download apps for towns across the UK and bring together essential information for locals and visitors alike.

With a #Shoplocal philosophy, the Apps aim to help boost local businesses, providing key information and making exclusive special offers available to App users.

Local information is also provided, including public services, local charities and community groups alongside local news and events.

Fabio said: "We all know these have been challenging times for all businesses, including ourselves as small business owners. However, we have also seen many local businesses pivot and continue to thrive during the current storm, which is fantastic to witness.

"We continue to see local residents supporting and spending locally which needs to continue so we maintain our local high streets for the future."

Steve explained: "The UK Town Apps launches so far have over 26,000 combined downloaded users and just over 2500 businesses are being promoted. You can use the UK Town Apps to, call local bars, cafes and restaurants to reserve a table, check up on local news, find out about local special offers, search for local businesses, even listen to local radio whilst on the move and much, much more.

"We are proud to be placing local businesses at the fingertips of thousands of local and visiting consumers."
