Macclesfield Town Council has last week relaunched its grants programme.

The Community Grants Scheme can provide funding for any community activity or community group in Macclesfield that is open to all, is for the benefit of Macclesfield or the people of Macclesfield and is a not for profit activity.

Last year, grants were awarded to organisations such as the Macclesfield Seals, St Alban's Pre-School, Macclesfield Rugby Union Football Club, Sparkallot and the residents of Water Street, who used their £250 for a planting project.

As well as its small grants of up to £250 and its large grants of up to £2,000, the Council has now introduced a micro grant option of £100 or less.

This new grant category will help to fund small start up ideas and one-off projects, as well as perhaps kickstarting the beginning of a longer term idea.

Grant applications are considered at the next appropriate and available Finance Committee as scheduled and decisions are made according to the council's scheme of delegation.

If you would like to apply for a community grant but would like to have a chat about it first, please contact Community and Events Manager Helena Gowler on 07593 535 784 or by emailing [email protected]

How To Apply

All application forms and guidance documents can be found on the Town Council website.
