Macclesfield pub, The Brocklehurst Arms on Manchester Road, has closed its doors for a short period while it undertakes an exciting six-figure investment.

The pub will reopen its doors to the public by the end of the year, following completion of a major refurbishment to both the inside and out of the pub.

The Brocklehurst Arms will reopen as a Greene King-branded pub, reaffirming the popular Macclesfield pub as a central community space.

As part of the refurbishment, the pub will receive a brand-new menu, as well as a new look and feel throughout.

The pub is also running a competition on its Facebook page to find 'Macclesfield's local hero', who will have the privilege of cutting the ribbon on the grand opening night.

To nominate your local hero, just visit The Brocklehurst Arms Facebook profile and leave their name and why you think they deserve to be crowned.

Tracey Robinson, General Manager of The Brocklehurst Arms said: "The whole team is so excited for the Brocklehurst Arms to undertake this major refurbishment, and we can't wait to reopen just in time for autumn!

"The revamp will bring a revived atmosphere to the pub, and we're confident that with our improved facilities we'll be proud to offer our guests an even better drinking, dining and social experience."

The pub will close on Sunday 5th November and is set to reopen in early December.

This investment will provide a number of job opportunities to the local community and is recruiting for a variety of positions. If you are interested in applying, you can email your CV to [email protected].

The Brocklehurst Arms is located on Manchester Road, Tytherington, Macclesfield, SK10 2HA. For more information visit their website or Facebook page.
