Macclesfield Ukrainian Donation Point passes major milestone
Macclesfield's Ukrainian aid distribution centre has passed a major milestone, just shy of their two month anniversary.
The site at Sutton Mill om Gunco Lane has officially sent £200,000 worth of aid to the under-attack Eastern European nation.
Thanks to the generosity of Macclesfield, those inside or fleeing Ukraine have benefitted from the £200,000 worth of goods.
Recent items of significance donated include wheelchairs, stretchers, walking frames, emergency trauma first aid kids and defibrillators.
However, there are still many items that are wanted in droves, in time for their next donation.
These include:
- Food
- Toiletries
- Batteries
- Torches
- Sanitary products
- Nappies
- Wipes
- First Aid Supplies
As their latest batch of donations arrive in Holland, the volunteer-led Macclesfield centre is also crowdfunding for their next delivery.
A JustGiving page has already funded £1000 for their next trip, for which you can donate to here.
The centre - which is ran by a Macclesfield family with heritage - have also launched an appeal for more volunteers.
They are also especially needing volunteers for Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
The drop-off point is located at Unit 2c, Sutton Mill, Gunco Lane. Macclesfield, SK11 7JL. Get in touch with them on Facebook.
