A criminal who burgled homes in a Macclesfield village has been caught by police.

Officers from Cheshire Constabulary have conducted a search at an undisclosed property in the Manchester area as part of the force's ongoing crackdown on cross border criminality.

He conducted three burglaries across Cheshire, all in towns covered by the Macclesfield Policing Unit.

A 58-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of committing a series of burglaries in Disley, Poynton and Prestbury.
