A Macclesfield wedding business is celebrating after being crowned winner at the 2022 regional Wedding Industry Awards.

Macclesfield bridal hair accessory designer Heidi Reid of Glorious by Heidi, has won a prestigious wedding industry award in the 'Special Touch' category at a spectacular awards event at Cheshire's Bowden Rooms.

Now in its ninth year, The Wedding Industry Awards recognises and rewards excellence in the wedding industry, helping couples all over the country make better educated decisions when booking their wedding suppliers.

Divided into eight regional events with winners qualifying for the national awards event in London on February 23rd 2022, The Wedding Industry Awards are described as 'the Oscars for the wedding industry.'

"This award is particularly special,' said Heidi, 'as the judging is based on real feedback from brides who have booked me to design their hair accessories in the last twelve months.'

"The last two years has been tough for anyone planning a wedding and for the suppliers who serve them, with weddings having to be postponed and cancelled due to government Covid restrictions."

"So to have survived that time, and to come out the other side and recognised for the service I provide, really is a real high."

"I am extremely grateful to the brides who have voted for me and who ultimately helped me secure this fantastic award."

Designing dramatic wedding accessories for festival hearted, show me the dance floor brides since 2013, a selection of Glorious by Heidi designs can be found in bridal boutiques throughout Cheshire and across the country, with the full collections available on Heidi's website.

Heidi also has a studio inside the Old Sunday School in Macclesfield where brides can book in for private accessory consultations with the award-winning designer.

Glorious by Heidi has now qualified via the win in The Wedding Industry Awards North West regions 'Special Touch,' category for the national awards event in London on February 23, 2022.

The Macclesfield small business will be competing against companies from the other 7 UK regions to win the national 'Special Touch' category.

Heidi, who works from Macclesfield's Old Sunday School on Roe Street, has over 2,000 followers on Facebook.
