Man taken to hospital by police following 'concerns for his welfare' in Macclesfield

A man in Macclesfield was taken to hospital yesterday evening following "reports of a concern" for his welfare.

Police were called to Coare Street in the Tytherington area of Macclesfield at approximately 5.30pm.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers attended the scene and, after speaking to officers, the man was taken to hospital to be checked over."

A witness said there were around eight police cars at the scene with police going in and out of a property. They were at the scene for about one hour.
