Man who teaches Latin Dance in Macclesfield responds to 'Strictly' win

By Alex Greensmith 18th Dec 2022

A man who teaches Latin dance moves in Macclesfield and across Cheshire has reacted to the winner of Strictly Come Dancing.

On Saturday, celeb Hamza Yassin won Strictly Come Dancing with partner Jowita Przystał.

And now, Mark Farrugia, who teaches dance in Macclesfield venues like Broken Cross Club and the Scout Hut in Gawsworth has commented on their victory.

"For me, Hamza was the best all-rounder, technically sound and quite good in all styles," Mark said.

"He was my winner going into the final and I am glad he and Jowita have won.

"Molly and Fleur excel in Latin more than ballroom, swing dances like the quickstep, waltz and foxtrot.

"Helen is very good at ballroom but probably the weakest at the Latin."

Maltese-born Mark, who appeared as a celebrity guest on BBC Radio 2 show with presenter Claudia Winkleman last November, added: "It always depends on the dances.

"Sometimes the show dance can make or break them."

Mark has also held classes at Morton Hall Community Centre on Duke Street.
