Market Place will once again host free events for children throughout the summer.

Macclesfield Town Council is bringing back Do Something Summer for the third year in a row.

A free activity will be taking place every Wednesday during the Summer Holidays from 11am to 3pm, alongside free to ride buses also funded by the Town Council.

Mayor of Macclesfield, councillor Emma Gilman, whose Mayoral theme is focused on children, said: "The idea is to make sure every child goes back to school in September with something to tell their teachers about what they got up to in the holidays.

"We all know how expensive school holidays can get, and by providing a free to attend fun day out with free to ride transport as well, we hope to relieve a little bit of that pressure for families."
