Maxonians encouraged to reconnect with nature as popular event returns this autumn

Maxonians are being encouraged to reconnect with nature this autumn.
Macclesfield Town Council is inviting the public to take part in their Nature Needs You event next month.
Taking place at West Park on Saturday, October 4, the event aims to motivate residents to embrace the weather and get out into nature.
A council spokesperson said: "As the weather gets colder, it's time to get our wellies and coats on and enjoy the great outdoors.
"The best bit is, it doesn't matter if it's raining. There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing choices, so get the kids to put on their boots and coats, and come and have some fun."

Running from 11am to 3pm, tipis and tents will be covering the ever-popular Storyteller, where Mayor of Macclesfield councillor Emma Gilman will make a special appearance.
There will also be a collection of oversized creepy crawlies.
Macclesfield RSPB Wildlife Explorers will be telling attendees about their work and will even have some crafts to get stuck into.
Additionally, for the first time, the Junior Herbalist club will be in attendance with Cath from Woodside Apothecary.
You will also be able to toast marshmallows, have a go at archery, check out the birds of prey, get your face painted and much more.
As with all Town Council events, buses that day around the town will be free to ride and the Town Council encourages you to use them where possible.
