A man who assaulted his partner and urinated on her shoes has been jailed.

Macclesfield resident Callum Bailey appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Monday, September 14, where he was handed a four-week sentence for assault by beating.

This comes with the 27-year-old already serving a sentence of four years and four months, handed to him in August after being found guilty of sexual assault.

His latest offending occurred in January of this year.

On January 9, Bailey had become involved in an argument with his ex-partner which resulted in him leaving their address.

The next day, she reached out to Bailey via text to discuss their relationship.

After deciding to continue their relationship, the pair went to a party in Congleton together on January 11.

When they returned home, the victim went to go to bed, which annoyed Bailey who proceeded to verbally abuse her, making jokes about her weight.

Following an argument, the victim attempted to leave the address but was stopped by Bailey, who pinned her to the floor and took her phone from her.

He then hid the phone and assaulted her when she made attempts to find it, including shutting her hand in a draw.

Bailey even threatened to throw the victim down the stairs and attempted to headbutt her as she managed to leave the property.

The victim returned to the address the following day to find her phone and discovered that a pair of her shoes were wet, with Bailey having urinated on them.

Following a trial, Bailey was found guilty of one count of assault by beating.

For this, he was sentenced to four weeks imprisonment, which he will serve on top of the aforementioned sentence of four years and four months for sexual assault, relating to an incident in December 2023.

Bailey, of Fowler Street, has also been handed a restraining order, prohibiting him from contacting the victim by any means and from entering a specified address until September 13, 2030.
