A new Bollington yoga studio hopes to be the most zen place in the Macclesfield area.

Located on Palmerston Street, where a similar wellness business was before, you will find Bollington Yoga.

Bollington resident Madison Cooper is behind the new venture, and is providing a workspace for about 15 other teachers as well as a yoga hub for the good people of Bollington.

"I have already been teaching classes here for the past four years when another person ran the space", she said.

"Since then I have moved to Bollington, as I loved it here so much, and thought when the opportunity came up that I wasn't going to miss out on it.

"What makes us stand out as a yoga studio is that we have such a range of teachers.

"We teach on a basis of what people need, and offer a friendly approach to classes. No matter what age you are, what gender, or what injuries you have. We welcome everybody, and there will be something for everyone."

Bollington Yoga, which opened at the start of the month, is off to a flying start.

Madison claims some classes are fully-booked for the next few weeks. But there is still plenty available for those interested.

Furthermore, a separate wellness business is moving downstairs.

"It is a beautiful space here," added Madison.

"We have views of White Nancy. I have spent a lot of time refurbishing here.

"We have people who like to come 20 minutes early to classes just to have a chat and soak the environment in.

"I love the community here, the vibe of Bollington is beautiful and the people are so lovely.

"I have been obsessed with yoga since I was seven. I went to university for nutrition and worked in pubs for a while, but it was a trip to India which made me realise that yoga was what I really wanted to do.

"We have a good balance of spiritual and functional yoga classes.

"There are 18 different styles of yoga, I teach hatha, vinyasa flow, and restorative yoga. I also specialise in yin and Nidra.

"I also do retreats and events around the world under a separate brand called MadisonYoga, which is open to the community of Bollington, and will be nice as you get to go on holiday.

"Even if you have tried yoga before and didn't like it, we've had people who were like that but have come here and were amazed in how much they enjoyed it.

"Thank you to the community for your support, and hope to see you at a class soon."
