A source on social media confirmed to Macclesfield Nub News that they are targeting a January 27 opening.

If you can't wait until then, they have just opened up a store in nearby Leek on Derby Street, and they also have a site on Spring Gardens in Buxton.

The Macclesfield site will be able to sit 100 customers, making the most of the former retail unit space.

The Caffé-Nero owned chain have opened ten new coffee shops since the pandemic, and have over 110 stores nationwide.

Coffee#1 managing director, Bruce Newman said: "Expanding our presence in the Midlands is a logical next step for us and we have felt for some time that Coffee#1 would be well received in Leek and Macclesfield."

The brand was founded in 2001 and partners with local Samaritans.
