New restaurant brings authentic South Indian cuisine to Macclesfield

A new restaurant has brought the taste of Kerala to Macclesfield.
Amazing India officially opened on Pickford Street last night, with the mayor on hand to cut the ribbon.
Owner Joby Joy is excited for the journey ahead, having spared no expense in transforming the venue.
He said: "We are not just any Indian restaurant where you go to eat food, we have a good vibe here.
"This is a place to create memories.
"We have made some massive changes and it's looking really lovely now.
"As our name suggests, it is amazing!"

Joby moved to the UK in 2013 and has lived in Macclesfield for around three years now.
With the support of his business partner Prema Pillai, he is looking to bring a taste of India to his new home.
"I have experience from my childhood and my father's business," Joby said.
"All of our chefs are from Kerala so we are serving proper, authentic, Indian food.
"We are the only South Indian cuisine in Macclesfield – we are proud to say that!"

Amazing India has taken over the former Masala Spoon on Pickford Street.
A huge amount of work has gone into creating a new look, with an old Austin A30-turned-sofa one of the standout features.
Meanwhile, the upstairs has been turned into a party hall, which will host live music every weekend.
On the menu you will find various chicken curries, mutton dishes, biryanis, banana fritters, dosa and their 'must-try' parotta.
The restaurant also boasts two bars, with their cocktail master serving up a menu of Indian-inspired alcoholic and soft drinks.
