Cheshire East Council have released a short clip celebrating the new Ian Curtis Mural.

The 90 second clip features Vox pops from Macclesfield residents, with one describing the mural of the Joy Division singer as 'world class'.

The Ian Curtis mural is situated on Mill Street, near Macclesfield Bus Station.

The street art honours the musician who released two albums with Joy Division, and also worked as a civil servant in Macclesfield.

It was officially unveiled with Curtis' ex-bandmate Peter Hook.

The new short also features an emotional testimonial from Macclesfield West and Ivy Councillor and Joy Division fan Nick Mannion.
