An urban explorer has recorded a video exploring an abandoned building in Macclesfield.

The video inside St Barnabas Church of England Primary School, which Cheshire County Council decided to shut in 2007, has over 1200 views.

The 15-minute film shows the interior of the former school all graffitied, reclaimed by nature.

One YouTuber commenter said it "This is my primary school! So cool to look back at the old building! Good memories."

To this day, a Facebook group sharing memories of the former Byrons Lane educational establishment still exists.

The former Catholic primary school had capacity for 210 students in its heyday.

Many of the pupils - when it shut - went to Bollington Cross Primary School instead.
