Omicron numbers fall: here's how many COVID-cases there are in Macclesfield

We've rounded up and totalled the amount of COVID-19 cases across the tens wards of Macclesfield.
Despite huge numbers at the start of the month, there are suggestions that COVID restrictions could be over once more by the end of the month.
So we thought we'd look back at the most recent coronavirus case data.
The most recent data we have is for last Thursday, January 13.

This is a reduction of 845 from the previous seven days' figure of 1599 - at the point of January 6. There were 43 patients in Cheshire East hospital with coronavirus on 11 January 2022. Some people in the hospital need to use a special device called a mechanical ventilator to help them breathe. There were two Cheshire East coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on 11 January 2022. There were six deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on 18 January 2022. Between 12 January 2022 and 18 January 2022, there have been 16 deaths across Cheshire East within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.
