Pharmacy shuts in Macclesfield supermarket

A pharmacy in a Macclesfield supermarket shut their doors for good today.

LloydsPharmacy of the 61 Cumberland Street Sainsburys has ceased operations.

Nationally, 237 LloydsPharmacy's have stopped trading today, with over 2000 jobs affected.

LloydsPharmacy blamed "changing market conditions" for the closure.

The pair of pharmacies on Sunderland Street are now the nearest to where the the shut service was, but that is over a ten minute walk away.
