Police investigating 'altercation' during private party at Macclesfield pub

Police are investigating a brawl at a Macclesfield pub.

Officers were called to the Old Millstone on Saturday night, September 26, following reports of an 'altercation' during a private party.

It is understood that those involved had knocked over tables, broken a pool cue and smashed glasses.

Furthermore, an eyewitness, who has asked not to be named, claims that someone's ear was 'bitten off' during the fight.

By the time officers arrived at the scene, the offenders, who are not thought to be regulars at the pub, had fled.

As such, Cheshire Police are now now appealing for anyone with information about what happened to get in touch.

A spokesperson said: "Shortly before 9pm on Saturday, September 26, police were called to an altercation on Waters Green, Macclesfield.

"Officers attended and on arrival all those involved had fled the scene.
