Police are looking to identify the owner of a bike following a suspected arson.

At around 6.50pm on Saturday, October 17, officers were alerted to reports of anti-social behaviour at Bollington Recreational Ground.

It is reported that a group of teenagers were seen setting fire to something at the cricket hut.

However, when police arrived, the youths extinguished the flames and ran off, leaving behind a red bike which has now been seized.

Officers also found drug paraphernalia stashed under the bench at the building next to the car park, with lots of rubbish left in the area too.

"An investigation is currently underway to identify those involved," said a Cheshire Police spokesperson.

"One youth has already been identified and will be hearing from us.

"Police would like to identify the owner or rider of this red bike which is currently being stored at Macclesfield Police Station."
