Police name Macclesfield duo accused of stealing car

Two men from Macclesfield have been accused of stealing a car.

Detectives from Macclesfield Proactive CID have charged two men following an investigation into a car and key burglary in Disley on July 5.

Thomas Wood, 23 and from Kelly Smith Way in Macclesfield, was charged with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Connor Wrigley, also of Kelly Smith Way, Macclesfield was charged with burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, acquiring criminal property, driving while disqualified and driving without a licence.

They appeared at Chester Magistrates on Thursday, July 10, and were remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on August 7.
