Shrigley Hall in £3000 boost to Macclesfield-based charity

Pott Shrigley venue Shrigley Hall Hotel and Spa has donated a stunning amount of money to a charity based in Macclesfield.

East Cheshire NHS Charity, who are based in Macclesfield Hospital, recently celebrated their fundraising partnership with the luxury countryside retreat.

The business were announced as the charity's official partner last April and have raised over £3022 through a variety of challenges and fundraising events. 

Activities over the last 12 months have included staff climbing Mount Snowdon, hosting a twilight spa event, Christmas Jumper Day and a hotel bake off with a longest day golf event also hosted in June. 

Joe Fleetwood, General Manager at Shrigley Hall said, "It's been a real pleasure raising funds for such a worthy cause this year. Lots of fun for the team, but also a treat to involve our guests in the efforts this year as well.  

"A happy and healthy NHS is of crucial importance for the wellbeing of the nation, so we couldn't think of a more deserving cause." 

Lily Preston, Fundraising Manager at East Cheshire NHS Charity said, "We are thrilled Shrigley Hall Hotel and Spa staff and guests are getting behind their local NHS charity and have raised such a great amount money.  

"Thank you to everyone who got involved and donated".  

East Cheshire NHS Charity goes above and beyond standard Government funding to make your local NHS that extra special. From supporting staff health and wellbeing to providing toys to brighten up our young patients' days to making long stay patients feel more at home – their mission is to make a visible difference.  

They raise funds to support Macclesfield District General Hospital, Knutsford Community Hospital, Congleton War Memorial Hospital and a range of community services. Their office is in Macclesfield Hospital, Victoria Road.
