Macclesfield College Freshers Fair

Macclesfield College's Freshers Fair takes place on Wednesday, September 16.
It's a great chance to have a look around the campus and discover what you can get involved in during your time at the college.
Among those taking part are Voodoo Combat, Sylk Dance Academy, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and a range of local charities and support organisations.
Saturday (19/09)
Macclesfield Textile Week

The first-ever Macclesfield Textile Week begins this Saturday, organised by Macclesfield Community ArtSpace and the Silk Museum.
Running until September 27, it will see 15 venues across Macclesfield play host to 50 events, including interactive workshops, talks, and even a fashion show.
One particular highlight is Macclesfield and The Bayeux: A History Tapestry, a special exhibition centred on a monumnetal community artwork led by Sew Your Place artists Ailsa Holland and Becca Smith.

Sunday (20/09)
Heritage Open Days

Sunday marks the end of the Heritage Open Days programme.
England's largest annual festival of history and culture, the 2026 lineup features guided tours, special exhibitions, interactive sessions and more.
Among the venues taking part are Macclesfield Library, the Silk Museum, Macclesfield Cemetery, St Michael's, St Alban's and St Paul's.
