Macclesfield will be well represented at this year's Everybody Awards, with local individuals and organisations earning places on the prestigious shortlist.

Among those recognised are Chris Ogden of Macclesfield Squash, a finalist in the Community Initiative of the Year category, and David Craig, who has been shortlisted for the Customer Hero Award.

Their achievements will be celebrated alongside other inspirational finalists from across Cheshire East at this year's awards ceremony on Friday, October 16, at De Vere Cranage Estate in Holmes Chapel.

Everybody Health & Leisure patron Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, one of Britain's most celebrated Paralympians, will host the evening which aims to recognise the outstanding people, projects and organisations making a real difference to health, wellbeing and community life across Cheshire East.

As well as the categories below, guests will also see the presentation of the Chairman's Award and the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising outstanding dedication, contribution and lasting impact within our communities.
