The autumn season of lunchtime concerts St Michael's Church kicks off on Friday.
First up is a recital by local pianist Simon Conning.
He will be playing 24 Preludes, Op. 28.by Frédéric Chopin.

Heritage Open Day

Venues around Macclesfield will be throwing open their doors this Saturday for Heritage Open Day.
It will offer visitors a unique opportunity to explore some of Silktown's most historic buildings.
Rachael Higham, events officer at Macclesfield Town Council, said: "We wanted to offer our visitors and residents a more festival-like experience, where they can spend the whole day in town and enjoy a wide range of experiences; whether it's visiting Paradise Mill for the first time, going backstage at MADS little theatre or finding out about the rich history of St. Michael's Church."

Healing through Hiking

Head on a hike through Macclesfield Forest this weekend.
Hosted by somatic trauma coach Ilaria, this walk is designed for women who have experienced or are struggling with narcissistic abuse.
"My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where you can start to trust yourself again, in your own time, find clarity, and feel the healing power of nature", Ilaria said.
Whether you're looking for companionship, inspiration, or simply a place to pause and reconnect with yourself, these walks offer all of that and more.

Looking ahead to next week, Bollington Brewery Taproom on Parker Street is hosting Huzzah!!
It promises to be a relaxed, fun evening giving local singles a chance to meet each other with 'maximum interaction and minimal awkwardness'.
